Widget Placement Guidelines

1. Relevance to Page Content

The Rumour widget should always be contextually relevant to the surrounding content.

  • Below primary content: Place the widget directly beneath the main article, chart, or data visualization that references it. Example: In a trading dashboard, show the widget below market performance charts or sentiment indicators.

  • Sidebar or secondary panel: Ideal for contextual add-ons e.g., in a right column showing related discussions or sentiment. Maintain a minimum width of 360 px for readability.

  • Modal or detail view: If your page opens a modal or slide-in panel for deeper insight, embed the widget there.

3. Visibility & Attribution

  • The “Powered by Rumour.app text must remain visible on the same screen as the widget.

  • Do not place it inside collapsible panels or scrolling containers that could obscure attribution.

  • On dark backgrounds, ensure sufficient color contrast for legibility.

4. Responsive Layout

  • Desktop: Centered or right-aligned within a 640–720 px column works best.

  • Mobile: Full-width display with at least 16 px vertical spacing above and below.

  • The widget automatically adjusts to container width; avoid fixed-height constraints.

5. Placement Don’ts

❌ Don’t embed multiple widgets without clear separation or section headers.

❌ Don’t overlay other UI elements (ads, CTAs, pop-ups) over the widget.

❌ Don’t place it in hidden or rotating elements (e.g., carousels, tabs).

❌ Don’t display irrelevant rumours that don’t match the surrounding page context.
